Quality, Safety, Environment and Social Responsibility

We take responsibility for everyone who works for BÄR, as well as for the quality and durability of our products. We stand for the unequivocal prohibition of child labor, forced labor, and discrimination. Since 2011, our subsidiary Baer Shoes India Pvt. Ltd. in Ambur has been certified for social standards in accordance with the ILO core labor standards, which establish international labor and social standards within the framework of the World Trade Organization.
Through external audits in the areas of social responsibility (CSR), safety (OHSAS/ISO 18001), quality (ISO 9001:2015), and environmental management (ISO 14001:2015), our production is regularly assessed by independent institutes.

Custom-made comfort for your feet: BÄR shoes are created in up to 160 steps at our own manufactory. Using specially developed lasts, high-quality materials, passion, and precision, skilled artisans handcraft comfortable shoes for every occasion. We want you to feel comfortable in our shoes whether walking, strolling, running, or hiking—and to develop a feeling of freedom. That is the goal we pursue.

Since 1995, BÄR shoes have been made at our production facility. In this company-owned manufactory, we ensure that work is carried out under socially responsible and ecologically sound conditions that respect human health.

At the Indian subsidiary, highly qualified, well-trained employees expertly create handcrafted masterpieces with great attention to detail. More than 400 employees have secure jobs here, receive social and health insurance, and support their families through above-average wages.
